In Case of Accident
- Stop your vehicle immediately and call 911 for police assistance.
- Take pictures of all vehicles involved in the accident as well as pictures showing the vehicle placement on the roadway.
- Obtain the names, addresses and phone numbers of any witnesses.
- Obtain the at fault driver‘s name, address and insurance information. If possible, take a picture of their driver’s license and vehicle license plate.
- Notify your insurance company even if the claim appears small and there are no initial apparent injuries.
- Do not provide a statement to the at fault party‘s insurance company.
- Never accept a check for the repair of your car or agree to meet with an insurance representative to discuss settling your claim until you’ve spoken to an attorney.
